That's me, boarding Space Station Alpha

Welcome!!

This home page serves a number of purposes. Organizing a webpage is an interesting method for organizing one's life. I like contemplating where I am going with my life. In order to effectively do that, I need to know where I am, and also where I've been. These pages cover the past and the present, with perhaps a bit of the future thrown in.

So, who am I? Currently, I'm Vice President of Research and Development at Cybernet Systems Corporation. I received my Ph.D. at the University of Michigan, Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and during that time I was a member of the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. (Click here for a closeup-view.) I can still be reached at my U of Michigan account at charles@umich.edu (I'd rather spam go there than my work account). And yes, that really is me in the picture on the middle, with the big Cynnabar shield, blocking all of those spears and polearms.

Follow the links below for more information. Some information is on this page, but most of it will require the loading of new pages. Have no fear, I've done my best to keep the images small.

Professional Information

Here you can find out everything you ever wanted to know (and more!) about my personal life. What are my hobbies, who are my friends, and what keeps me busy. Enter if you dare!

So what do I do at work? What are my research interests? What papers have I written? This is the link for you! Perhaps even one day I'll create it! Then again, maybe not.

If you really want to find out about my likes and thinks and just find interesting, then please check out this list of web pages. I do try to update this list and prune the old ones..

My new weblog is here!!!

Some Quick Links

Current Activities

Wow, I haven't updated this in over a year! I'll try to be better about this in the future.

New stuff: Elaine and I have a new house! A beautiful colonial in the Georgetown part of Ann Arbor. And, wonders of wonders, Elaine is pregnant. Go figure...

Books: Lots of books about pregnancy. I just finished "The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy," which I highly recommend. I'm also reading up on Judaism - the first one being "Judaism for Everyone" by Rabbi Shmuley Boteach. I have around 10 books I want to read that are non-fiction. I hope I have time to throw in some fiction books in there!

Music: I'm still playing Tori Amos' "From the Choirgirl Hotel," but now I'm adding in some of my old favorites too, like Mandy Patinkin and Vonda McIntyre.
